It’s great to see continued growth in commercial office space in the Greater Seattle Area. This brings many new jobs, primarily in tech. The Puget Sound Business Journal reports the largest commercial real estate deals around the US and Seattle is a big player. Technology continues to grow, innovate and reform.
Facebook has reached 5,000 seats, or 2,000 more than the company had here in May.
Google confirmed the purchase of 300,000 sq ft space at the new Kirkland Urban property. They already occupy 375,000 square feet of office space and with this acquisition now has about 650,000 square feet in the city. It will likely double the headcount of the current 4500 employees in Seattle and Kirkland.
SAP Qualtrics is taking 13 floors in Skanska’s 2+U Seattle tower downtown and is expected to move in next summer. Other tenants in the space include Dropbox, Spaces and Indeed.
Paccar opened R&D Center in Kirkland saying strong job markets, growing wages and increased business investment are boosting big truck sales. They currently have 28,000 employees and expects solid growth of between five and seven percent for 2019.
